Abstract

The focusing effect bias involves placing excessive importance on a particular aspect or factor of an event or situation while neglecting other relevant information. It arises from the tendency to disproportionately focus on one salient detail. The focus may be on positive or negative aspects, but the key point is that other factors are overlooked or given less weight. This bias leads to an imbalanced evaluation of the situation, potentially leading to inaccurate judgments or decisions.
